About Mrs. Sandberg

Hello, my name is Jeri Dell Sandberg and this is my cute husband of 30 years. (We are in front of The White House on a trip to D.C) I have two daughters and two sons and eight almost nine grandchildren! I have been teaching for 25 years and for 19 years I taught first grade. THEN I switched to second grade and discovered Smart Boards! I love teaching second grade. You could describe me as an art-aholic! When I meet old students on the street they always go off about how much they loved doing art in my class. I have a bachelor of arts in Elementary Education, with a minors in reading and art. I have a master's degree in Elementary Education/Reading. My ESL kids are a joy and I have my ESL endorsement. For two years I taught Reading Recovery and I learned a ton, but missed having a class. I have been around for a long time, but still feel like a brand new teacher some days. I never want to turn into a grouchy old teacher, so I love learning new things. This whole blog thing is a blast. I love getting ideas from other fabulous teachers and tweeking them to fit my style. I am in awe of some of the amazing teachers out there. So... here I go with my new blog! P.S. Thanks to my darling daughter, Avree who is teaching me about blogs!

  9. Thank you so much for posting the IDIOM pics. My son had this as an assignment and we didn't know what to do :) YOU saved the day! You sound like an awesome teacher ( unlike his ) which makes me sad :(
2nd grade is still supposed to be fun! When your kid says he thinks next yr will be better with another teacher it really breaks your heart. Your students are lucky to have you! please post anything you can share (here in NY we have the core curriculum which is making both parents and teachers crazy!) thanks again & good luck

  12. Hello,

Can you help me? Have you got material for teaching recipes to children (9 years old) in English?

    Thank you.
